Our Story

CFAL members practice a wide variety of art disciplines, including art quilts, embroidery, weaving, digital fiber arts, crochet and knitting, rug hooking, doll making and structural fiber arts with 3-D construction, jewelry with fiber elements, beading, and general surface design and embellishment.

The organization meets quarterly to share examples of their work and discuss techniques and materials. CFAL also sponsors low-cost classes and workshops on a broad range of topics.

Fiber enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to professionals, are welcome to join.

Mission Statement

The purpose of CFAL is to encourage its members as artists and to educate others about contemporary fiber arts. The goal is to promote contemporary works, explore creative influences, and develop a network of professional venues.
